We all love to click pictures. For some it is a hobby, and for some it is a passion. Whether doing it professionally or doing it for fun, everyone wishes to click a good portrait or landscape.
With the evolution of Megapixels and picture quality in mobile phones, gone are the days when you had to own a big fat digital camera to follow your photographer instincts. The current generation of smartphones have the potential to produce professional level pictures and videos so that you don't have to worry about making a (bigger)hole in your wallet.
Once you have one such smartphone in your hands, you will surely click pictures. So before you take out the phone to point at the scene and click the shutter, there are certain small but important things to note, so that your clicks meet(or exceed) your expectations.
The Lens
Always check your camera lens before clicking any picture. In general usage of your phone, the camera lens could catch smudge and dirt from your fingers and pockets. Wipe the lens frequently with a soft cloth and avoid scratches.
The Position
Try to keep your phone parallel to the ground. A beautiful scene looks better in a picture when it seems straight to the eyes.
The Shooting Modes
Camera apps have a variety of modes so that your photography efforts are processed by the phone to the best level. Such common modes are AI (Artificial Intelligence), HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Night modes.
The AI mode offers automatic preset correction of colour and lighting depending on the object or scene you are shooting. Let us just say that if you want to click a picture and upload it right away without any editing, then this mode is at your service.
The HDR mode is a must in outdoor photography. Whether you are clicking your photogenic friend or shooting a beautiful natural scene, HDR mode is an absolute blessing for mobile photographers.
If you are in a bright natural environment and you want to capture as much details as possible from the scene, then you should shoot in HDR mode. In that way you will retain the real details of the sky, water and trees.
This mode also comes into play when you are clicking pictures of a person with sky in the background or in front of a bright colored scene. It retains the natural brightness of the skin tone as well as the details of the background.
Night Mode is helpful in shooting pictures in low light. Instead of using camera flash, start shooting in night mode to make your low light clicks stand out in the crowd.
Wrapping it up here for now buddies. Keep shooting...!!!
